Secret Bakery is a participatory installation and social intervention that transforms private human confessions into ephemeral sensory objects. Staged amidst the chaotic consumerism of a Lunar New Year Fair, the project invites participants to anonymously submit their deepest, most unspeakable secrets as "raw ingredients."
Chan transfigures these psychological burdens into handmade, cupcake-shaped bath bombs and collage-poem charms. These secrets are then randomly redistributed to other strangers, transferring the weight of the confession.
Intersecting text, and tactile interaction, the project culminates in a ritual: a collective commitment to wash away each other's hidden wounds in the sanctuary, exploring themes of emotional erasure and shared vulnerability.

Missing Jaya revolves around the search for disappeared Jaya among her home-found translucent furniture, continuing the artist's vain search in 2020-2021. In the post-pandemic era, people come out like mollusks emerging from their shells to rebuild trust and intimacy. Artificial intelligence, like the deep-sea pram bug, nourished itself by absorbing biometric inputs as its lair and nesting in the breeding ground of collective technology. Through finding Jaya, we will discover the contexts in fragmented news interwoven with faces, and witness a gigantic, public Tamagotchi - a mass-bred database of (in/) voluntary intelligence.
The work also offers a metacommentary on the compatibility of found-footage technique and generative images.

At "Lihao Baluhu," embodied as Chin Chin (aka the Dusty Cook) to interact with visiting audience.
"Chin Chin's Secret Recipe": After evil, dirty desserts are washed and excavated, guests must "eat" them into their stomachs. The secrets may rot in the belly; or be excreted, existing in another form.
